Lorenzo Zangheri

Lorenzo Zangheri was born 1978 in Spoleto (PG, Italy), where he currently resides and works.

He is an artist by nature and an engineer by formation, strongly inquisitive from an early age.
He has an atypical training that let him able to merge technical drawing and art, art and philosophy. Lorenzo Zangheri conceives art as a communication, a recipient of memories and messages developed in a form of “conceptual engineering”.

The world he represents is often characterised by arid land, large open spaces, precariousness and equilibrium, constantly connected to real life. To do this, Lorenzo adopts the Sanguine technique, using hematite pencils on pure cellulose drawing paper.

In the era of hyper-realistic 3D rendering and of perfect as much as impersonal digital design, Lorenzo Zangheri rehabilitates conceptual figurative art, synthesising academic technical formation and natural artistic talent, two ever detaching disciplines in today’s world.
